Young German farmer’s dairy dream rings true in Cork

In an interview with Rubina Freiberg for Agriland, Rikki Bayer, a passionate young German farmer, shared her story of getting into the agriculture industry as well as her experience of dairy farming around the world, and the succession programme.

With the help of the Land Mobility Service, Rikki is now in the second year of owning a dairy farm in Ballythomas, Co. Cork.

Recalling the land mobility process, she said that it is a platform to provide opportunities for young farmers to get a leg up but also to be paired with farmers where there is no succession.
