The Service is independent, confidential, has the expertise and experience to help people properly evaluate their options and should they so wish, assist them in finding a collaborator, then support both in formulating and implementing a win- win arrangement.

The staff at Land Mobility Service operate as a team, making the best use of current available information to ensure the best options, advise and guidance are given to landowners and farmers.

The Land Mobility Service team is headed up by Austin Finn. Austin is a B. Ag. and Chartered Accountant, he also farms part time in Kilkenny. The farm operates through a registered partnership with his daughter.

He has extensive agri business and consultancy experience. Austin has the financial and farming expertise to assist people in planning for their futures. Austin sees his role in ensuring that the best options and advice are provided to all parties and that their wishes are fully respected.

Firstly, the farm business must be sustainable then the Parties need to be compatible and finally the Arrangement must work for both the Farmer and Landowner.

Austin stresses that all contact is confidential and without commitment.

Staff - Micheal Larkin

Mícheál Larkin

Facilitator Western Region

Micheál Larkin from near Castlebar in Co. Mayo, is A.T.U. qualified in Rural Enterprise and Agri Business. He has a vast experience in leadership, interpersonal skills and planning.

His previous roles included Training Development Officer with Macra na Feirme and in Sales and Marketing. He also spent time as a sales & marketing representative in the UK and Ireland, as well as travelling abroad to gain experience with agri-businesses, rural development & farm systems.

He farms at home in partnership with his Dad & Brother. Micheál believes that collaborative farming is an excellent way of creating options for landowners and farmers and there is a deal to suit all parties with a win-win scenario for all involved. Micheál covers the Western Region.

Patrick Brady

Facilitator North Eastern & Midlands Region

Patrick Brady is a B. Ag. Based in Cavan.

He is an experienced farm advisor and also runs the family dairy farm.

He has vast experience in farm schemes, advisory services and farm planning. Patrick’s focus is exploring options for landowners followed by matching people and facilitating arrangements in the North Eastern and Midlands Region.
