Land Mobility Service OpportunitiesA primary focus of The Land Mobility Service is to match potential farmers, young farmers and existing farmers to opportunities with a view to facilitating a win win collaboration / arrangement that works for everyone.

Opportunities have come up for all enterprises and locations, like farms in Ireland no two opportunities are the same, and obviously once a suitable collaborator is identified and an arrangement facilitated the opportunity goes.

Confidentiality is a key feature of the service so specific details pertaining to an opportunity are purposely kept vague. This approach protects both the land owner and potential collaborator.

Again for confidentiality not all opportunities are included here or in the Land Mobility Page on the Irish Farmers Journal. For this reason we are always seeking expression of interest for all opportunity types, this allows us to inform landowners of your potential interest. For this we need your name, contact details, location preferences, farm type preferences, what you are presently doing and some information on your farming skills and experience.

Near Ballingarry Limerick

60 acres of land all in one block. Currently in Tillage with reseeding ongoing. Owner plans to continue and have reseed all ground to be available from 2025. Owner is open to all options, is gradually stepping back from Tillage and looking for collaborator(s) with a view to long term lease. Further Land may be available in the future for the same or other collaborators.

300 Cow Dairy Farm between Birr and Portlaoise

Spring calving grass based herd. Excellent infrastructure with over 300 cubicles, calving area and 32 unit milking parlour all under one roof. Owner looking for a Young Farmer with a view to a partnership or Share Milking arrangement.

180 Acre Dairy Farm, Cork near Mitchellstown.

This well maintained farm is in two blocks. The main block comprises over 100 acres with excellent dairy infrastructure. Block serviced by water and a central roadway. Infrastructure includes a 16 unit parlour with feeders, 9000 litre bulk tank, 130 cow cubicles, slurry storage, calving shed, calf sheds and storage sheds. 70 acre opportunity available of which, 50 acres has been invested in recently. Land has just been reseeded, limed & fertilised as well as having, sheep fencing, water and internal roadway. Mayo Young farmer looking to expand their farming business. Ideal farm would consist of blocks of land from 60 to 150 acres fenced for both cattle and sheep. Also willing to explore farm investment including fencing for a longer term arrangement. Would consider a hill farm or shared/collaborative farming including winter cropping arrangements also. References can be given from previous successful lease agreements.

Carlow Kildare Border

50 Acres. Excellent land, Tillage, Grass and Micro-Orchard. Transitioning to full Organic. Owners stepping back and looking to engage with someone who would take on the main block and help them develop the orchard component of the farm.

Contract Rearers Available South Mayo

Able to cater for large number of calves & heifers. Can take pre-weaning through to 2nd winter. Breeding programme catered for. Proven results & references available. Attractive rates for larger bunches. Separate herds and facilities, haulage catered for. Plan now for labour, nitrates and stocking rate reductions.

Dairy Share to Lease

We have a number of good working dairy farms with good infrastructure where the owners are looking to step back and engage with skilled young farmers with a view to a shared arrangement initially and progression to a lease.

Organic

We have a number of land owners either in or interested in Organics (various locations and enterprises) and are interested in engaging with young or existing farmers with a view to some form of collaboration be that a lease or share.
